NYC Department of Buildings: World Trade Center Buildings 1, 2 and 7 Deemed “Sensitive Buildings”, Plans Exempt From Disclosure

October 5, 2011

by Aidan Monaghan   source: 9/11 Blogger   oct 5, 2011

Within a September 13, 2011 FOI response from the New City Department of Buildings (DoB), it is noted that World Trade Center Buildings 1, 2 and 7 have been deemed sensitive buildings and thus, plans for these buildings have been exempted from disclosure by statute because “if disclosed, the documents requested would endanger the life or safety of any person.”

The DoB reply also affirms a previous finding that no elevator records whatsoever were located regarding the extensive elevator modernization within WTC buildings 1 and 2, one of the largest ever.[1] Additionally, the DoB reply advises that the Port Authority of NY/NJ are not under the jurisdiction of the NYC DoB and that records for major pre-9/11 renovations may not have been submitted to the DoB.

The Port Authority of NY/NJ have previously advised within FOI records that records for major pre-9/11 renovations within WTC buildings 1 and 2 were destroyed on September 11, 2001.[2]

Why Were Dump Trucks Ready on 9/11/01 Cart Off Evidence

November 28, 2010

by Brian Romanoff   Nor Cal Truth   Nov 28, 2010

The removal of debris from the crime scene of 9/11 has been looked at as a piece to the other crime of 9/11; the cover-up and censorship of the event and the evidence. Professionals would like to know: if the official story were correct, why would fire collapse WTC #7? This would be the first time in history that office fires could account for a total failure and global collapse of a steel-framed high-rise building. Surely there would be something to learn – imagine if you dropped a ball and it fell up!

If the removal of 9/11 crime scene evidence is new information to you, let me point you to another question you should be asking: If the attacks of 9/11 were a surprise and the collapse of WTC #7 unprecedented in history, why was an army of dump trucks there the same day ready to cart off debris which included human remains and structural evidence?

Trucks entering frame at 1:26 below, seconds after WTC #7 collapsed:

“Where’s all the rubble?”

NYC, Contractors Appeal 9/11 Settlement Ruling

April 15, 2010

For a little more backround on this story, click here.

By LARRY NEUMEISTER   source: SF Chronicle    April 15, 2010

The city and contractors who handled the cleanup of the World Trade Center site after the Sept. 11 attacks on Wednesday notified a court they are appealing a judge’s decision to block a $575 million settlement of claims by thousands of workers who fell ill.

Lawyers for the city and the contractors filed papers with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to challenge several orders by U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein that had the effect of blocking implementation of the deal.

Hellerstein demanded changes in the settlement, including adding millions of dollars more for the sick and reducing the cost of legal fees.

The judge said he had a moral obligation to the 9/11 workers.

Building What?! Day 11 (7 Days to Go!)

March 29, 2010

 March 29, 2010

Fellow Advocates:

Thank you for sticking with it and making it easy for the City Council to listen to us with your polite and focused manner! So far all of the offices have told us they were pleased with how we have been communicating our message. Rest assured they are taking notice of what we have to say.

As we head into the final seven days of our campaign, we will be contacting some key council members whose support we will be counting on to make the City Council address Building 7, The Salomon Brothers building. So please be sure to continue what you are doing and make the effort end with a crescendo.

If you haven’t gotten involved yet, please consider doing so. One participant had this to say on Friday: “I’m pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to make a few simple calls to the Council Members. Their aides seem friendly and sincere, and are telling me they’re getting over 100 calls per day. They all promise that the Members will be looking into WTC 7. It feels good to help spread the word.”

Building What?! Day 7

March 23, 2010

Fellow Advocates:

March 23, 2010

Thank you for keeping Building What?! going full blast.  Our numbers are high and the simplicity of our message is opening eyes.  Think about it this way: two weeks from today the entire New York City Council and all of their staff will know that 1,100+ architects and engineers are calling for a new investigation into the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7.  Almost all of them will have seen footage of WTC 7, and a vast majority, those capable of being honest with themselves, will know that office fires did not bring it down.  That in itself is a remarkable accomplishment, but more importantly, we are creating the kind of awareness that leads to unforeseeable and uncontrollable developments.

“I cannot tell you how happy I am that you are doing this extremely smart campaign… Nothing can be more important at this point. The aides tell me they’ve been inundated with calls from all over the country.”

“She was very nice, she was unaware and said it makes you really think about it … [Another] said all the council members are aware the calls will be made to them over the next couple of weeks. Said they have not decided what kind of statement to make, though they are all aware of it.”

Potential $657 Million Settlement of over 10,000 9/11 Related Health Claims

March 13, 2010

March 13, 2010

A group of three news outlets articles on the subject follows below.

This is taken from an AP report:

Lawyers and city officials expressed confidence Friday that they can get ground zero responders to sign on to a settlement that would pay up to $657 million to workers who developed health problems after toiling in the ruins of the World Trade Center.

Thousands of workers who claim to have been sickened by dust and debris will have three months to decide whether to accept the package. If 95 percent don’t say yes, the deal is off.

The decision will be a complicated one, but a lead attorney for the firm that negotiated the settlement said most of the feedback from clients so far has been good.

As Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the other alleged 9/11 conspirators go to trial, the corporate media’s embargo on the truth about the Bush years will be under great strain.

Media commentary on the upcoming 9/11 trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has raised concern that state secrets may be divulged, including details about how the Bush administration used torture to extract evidence about al-Qaeda. Read the rest of this entry »

NYC CAN: The Turning Point

October 17, 2009

source: NYC CAN

 (Authored by victims family members)

October 16, 2009

In the fall of 2008, the NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative realized that both strategy and tone were moving its effort no closer to broadening its support. Facing a wary, apathetic public and a stalled momentum, leadership was replaced, strategy was revamped and its mission rebranded.

Launched in early 2009 as NYC CAN, the new organization proceeded to effectively engage voters in a rational dialogue concerning the unanswered questions surrounding 9/11 and the best interests of our country.  Our vehicle for engagement was a public referendum to create a real, independent, evidence-driven investigation into those questions that remain, eight years later, unaddressed.

That revamped strategy – focused and methodical, free of divisive rhetoric, ill-advised conjecture and alienating political judgments – succeeded in garnering the support of 80,000 NYC voters, over one-hundred 9/11 family members, dozens of first responders and survivors and leading 9/11 family advocates including ‘Jersey Girls’ Lorie Van Auken, Mindy Kleinberg and Patty Casazza as well as Bill Doyle, Monica Gabrielle and others.

NYC CAN also received backing from the most trusted leaders in the 9/11 truth movement, including David Ray Griffin, Richard Gage, Kevin Ryan, Steven Jones and Niels Harrit; and the endorsement of respected whistleblowers Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer and FBI Special Agent Coleen Rowley, TIME’s 2002 Person of the Year.
