Muslim Hero Obscured in 9/11 Memorial

The family of a Muslim man who died while trying to save lives during the 9/11 attacks was shocked after receiving a notification that the name of their son would not be found among first responders at the National Memorial in Lower Manhattan, appearing next to a blank space with those with “loose connections” to the World Trade Center.

“They do not want anyone with a Muslim name to be acknowledged at ground zero with such high honors,” his mother, Talat Hamdani, 60, told the New York Times on Monday, January 2, at her home in Lake Grove on Long Island.

“They don’t want someone with the name Mohammad to be up there,” the mother added with her voice filled with pain.

The story of Mohammed Salman Hamdani started when the 23-year-old police cadet died trying to save lives in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

Indian Leader: “From the Very Beginning, the 9/11 Attacks Were Very Doubtful…”

An Indian leader Saturday said that the US, and Zionists were the prime suspects of 9/11 attacks. In an exclusive interview with IRNA Asif Mohd Khan, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Delhi said: “US should respond those hundreds of unanswered questions which indicated that the September 11 attacks in 2001 were either intentionally allowed to happen or were orchestrated by the US and Zionists”. Expressing his full support for the stands taken by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Indian leader urged UN as well as Obama administration to formate a fact-finding committee to probe into the events.

A fortnight ago Ahmadinejad in a speech to the UN General Assembly in New York, raised the issue of the many conspiracy theories still surrounding 9/11. He had also proposed that a fact-finding mission be set up by the UN to investigate the events. Asif said that subsequent attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq provided the fodder to the suspicion that US might have attack to justify military action in the Middle East.

After 9/11 About 25 Percent Of Arab Adults In Detroit Reported Abuse

One quarter of Detroit-area Arab Americans reported personal or familial abuse because of race, ethnicity or religion since 9/11, leading to higher odds of adverse health effects, according to a new University of Michigan study.

The study was published online in the American Journal of Public Health.

Muslim Arabs also reported higher rates of abuse than Christians, said lead author Aasim I. Padela, M.D., a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar in U-M’s Department of General Medicine and clinical instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Padela says those who reported abuse showed a higher probability of having psychological distress, lower levels of happiness and poorer perceptions of health status.

The War Against Muslim Extremists is Wholly Unnecessary for Our National Security

In response to my essays documenting that war is harmful to the American economy and produces a huge carbon footprint, some commentators have argued that the Afghanistan and Iraq wars are necessary to combat Muslim extremists.

Even putting aside the fact that Saddam was an atheist who hated Muslims, the argument holds no credibility.

A leading advisor to the U.S. military, the Rand Corporation, released a study in 2008 called “How Terrorist Groups End: Lessons for Countering al Qa’ida“.

The report confirms what experts have been saying for years: the war on terror is actually weakening national security (see this, this and this).

As a press release about the study states:

“Terrorists should be perceived and described as criminals, not holy warriors, and our analysis suggests that there is no battlefield solution to terrorism.”

And key war on terror architect Douglas Feith has now confirmed Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz and Wesley Clark in admitting that the so-called War on Terror is a hoax.

In fact, starting right after 9/11 — at the latest — the goal has always been to create “regime change” and instability in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and Lebanon so as to protect Israel. And the goal was never really to destroy Al Qaeda.
