When reading the articles below, keep one question in mind: Do you find these allegations credible and serious enough to deserve media coverage?
This question is crucial because the mainstream media has been ignoring (and in some cases actively trying to discredit) the facts and arguments below for years now.
It is the job of a properly functioning media to investigate credible allegations about issues important to the people and determine their validity. America’s media appears to have failed so completely here that it should be considered completely broken, if not dead.

Mike Casner, who commented on this blog recently, sent me a link to an organization and website that I was previously unfamiliar with. The Media for 9/11 Truth group is alive, and after viewing its signatures, I am thrilled to see it is already supported by many others in the media.

Journalists and Other Media Professionals for 9/11 Truth (JOMP911T) is an international organization of journalists and other media professionals who have, unlike the mainstream (corporate) media, been reporting information that challenges the official account of 9/11.
We seek an independent investigation, unfettered by political constraints, which has full subpoena powers and examines all of the evidence relevant to determining what happened on 9/11. To date, virtually all of the evidence that conflicts with the official account has been ignored by the mass media.
Arguing that a Pentagon order banning four journalists from covering military commissions at Guantanamo Bay was illegal and unconstitutional, The Miami Herald and two Canadian news outlets appealed on Wednesday.
While covering a hearing last week to determine the admissibility of confessions made by Canadian detainee Omar Khadr, four journalists from The Herald, which is owned by McClatchy, the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail and Can-West Newspapers of Canada printed the name of a witness who had been identified at the hearing as “Interrogator No. 1.” The witness, Joshua Claus, had been convicted by a U.S. military jury of detainee abuse in 2005 and sentenced to five months in prison. His role as Khadr’s interrogator had been known since 2008, when it was first revealed by a judge at Guantanamo. He later gave an on-the-record interview to the Toronto Star.

Contrary to propaganda opinion, the West is not free. Our so-called democratic governments have not been honest with the people about the true origins of the government-made crisis that is called terrorism. And I am not coming from an anti-government perspective. Nor do I believe that non-state terrorism doesn’t exist. It does, but it must be put into context, and any terrorist threat must be handled with detective tools rather than predator drones. But the larger threat to human civilization that we must face and fight against is state terrorism.
I assume that very few people who work in the US government are aware of this. A lot of high-level individuals in Western governments sincerely believe in the official story of 9/11 that was given by the Bush administration, and then repeated by the major media. And these individuals are most likely honorable citizens, who are committed to combating the “terrorism” threat as they know it. But what they know is not true. They have to be the most brainwashed citizens in our societies, or else a government such as the criminal one in the United States can not operate for long. Also, their line of work requires that they submit to institutional pressures and not question their bosses.

President Obama’s sneak visit to Afghanistan this weekend, although shrouded in secrecy, still received lots of prime press coverage.
At the same time, an astonishing open admission of possible US war crimes by Obama’s man on the ground in Kabul, senior American and NATO commander in Afghanistan General Stanley A. McChrystal, was reported by Richard A. Oppel Jr. in the New York Times… and then promptly ignored by the rest of the mainstream media.
“We have shot an amazing number of people, but to my knowledge, none has ever proven to be a threat,” McChrystal said during a recent video-conference to answer questions from troops in the field about civilian casualties.
According to the military’s own figures, American and NATO troops firing from passing convoys and military checkpoints have killed 30 Afghans and wounded 80 others since last summer, but as McChrystal noted, none of the victims proved to be a danger to the troops.

In a sad commentary on the currently disintegrating state of “main stream media”, I found myself ambushed on Saturday, March 6th, just ten minutes after I arrived at a conference outside Philadelphia on “9-11, the Wars and Our Broken Constitution”.
When young, smiling female producer Katie Hinman identified herself as being with ABC and asked for an interview, I had only just arrived at the conference. So although I was a little surprised that the Nightline TV crew was there, I immediately consented to an interview before anyone had a chance to warn me that the TV show was trying to concoct a connection between the conference and the mentally ill young man who had been killed a few days before while shooting at Pentagon guards.
From the very first question Mr. Bury launched, it was clear, however, that he was not interested in the truth, and that I would not fare any better than someone who consents to go on Bill O’Reilly’s or Glenn Beck’s show.
In the interest of journalistic ethics, let me list a few of the departures from how a decent, ethical, objective journalist would have covered the story of this conference:
As RAW STORY noted last month after Joseph Andrew Stack crashed his small plane into a building containing a federal tax office, “even five years after Jon Stewart famously told CNN’s dueling Crossfire hosts to ‘stop, stop, stop, stop hurting America,’ some folks can’t stop politicizing tragic events and claiming them for or against their respective sides.”
New details are emerging Friday morning about the suspect in a shooting in a Pentagon subway station, including a resentment toward the military and doubt about the Sept. 11. terror attacks.
In an internet posting linked to John Patrick Bedell, the writer says he was determined to see justice for the 1991 death of a California Marine. His death was ruled a suicide but has long been the source of coverup theories.
Last October members of We Are Change Chicago and We Are Change Ohio attended a signing by Byron Pitts of ‘60 Minutes’ who was promoting his new book Step Out On Nothing. He was also at Ground Zero on 9/11/01 where he covered the destruction of all three World Trade Center buildings. He won an Emmy for his reporting on 9/11 day so we thought who better to ask about the mystery of WTC 7 then Byron Pitts.
Now that one of every four Americans gets the news online, a communications authority wonders if the White House is still able to control the news.
“The transformation of media has not only undermined the imperial institutions of the mainstream media; it has undermined the imperial Presidency,” writes Ken Auletta in the January 25thThe New Yorker.
Auletta reminds that six years ago there was no Facebook, no Twitter, no You-Tube and that many regional newspapers and TV stations were “highly profitable.”
Today, he writes, Politico.com Web site has 79 editorial employees to satisfy the news hunger of its 3-million unique monthly visitors and Mike Allen, the online paper’s chief White House correspondent “has become one of Washington’s most influential journalists.”
Officials, journalists, activists say 9/11 truth activists pose a violent threat; call for secret government disruption of our work – or worse
Note: This article addresses issues that arguably lie outside AE911Truth’s mission. We consider such a departure to be justified in this case, because the paper by Sunstein and Vermeule specifically mentioned as the targets of its advocated “infiltration,” the 16% of Americans who responded to a Scripps-Howard Poll in 2006 that it was either very likely or somewhat likely that “the collapse of the twin towers in New York was aided by explosives secretly planted in the two
buildings” (Conspiracy Theories, p. 2).
.You know you’re getting somewhere on an issue of paramount public importance when your opponents stop making fun of you and start describing you as a threat to the established order, and supporting interference with or the elimination of your First Amendment rights, and even accuse you of being a terrorist.
Background 1: Weitzman’s Defamation
One of the first shots in the threat campaign was fired just over two years ago by Mark Weitzman of the Simon Wiesenthal Center (to which we responded).
Testifying in November 2007 before a House subcommittee of the Homeland Security committee, Weitzman portrayed AE911Truth in what could be construed as part of a jihadist campaign in support of “violent radicalization,” ” homegrown terrorism,” and “ideologically based violence.” The words Weitzman intoned as our homepage appeared in his presentation – “Soon, soon, soon, the attack on Manhattan” – have never appeared on our website. Alas, anyone testifying before Congress has absolute immunity against being sued for defamation. All of this is a sour irony, given Weitzman’s work as an “anti-defamation” activist.

1. In my speech at the conference on the support for Palestine (Al Quds) on Jan 20, 2010, I said that if they can make the film Avatar, they can stage the attack and collapse of the World Trade Centre in New York.
2. The press report seems to suggest that there was no real destruction of the two towers but it was just some kind of theatrical trick. It is of course a fact that the two towers were destroyed after two aircrafts crashed into them.
3. A lot of people in America (the apologists will dismiss them as conspiracy theorists) questioned whether the towers collapsed because the planes crashed into them or that something else caused them to come down. These people have reproduced videos taken by media people showing the attack and the collapse of the towers, pointing out certain peculiar features. I have seen the three-hour long video which is widely distributed.
4. Those people who watched the live telecast of the attack and the collapse of the towers will remember as I remember, that both towers collapsed straight down, floor upon floor. They did not lean to their sides as they collapse. The manner of their collapse was like the pictures we see of multi-storied buildings being demolished by demolition experts. When demolishing a skyscraper in a built-up area the experts ensure that as the towers collapse they would not lean to the side and strike neighbouring buildings.
5. The collapse of the two towers was typical of demolition of skyscrapers by experts in America. It was too clean, each tower collapsing upon itself, not touching each other or the buildings surrounding them.
6. One thing that is never mentioned almost is the collapse of a third building which was neither hit by aircraft or by the two towers. This building, described as building number 7, is slightly more than half the height of the WTC towers.
Have you noticed how bad it is Haiti? Maybe you have seen the news images of corpses in the street. Sometimes piled high, or even being loaded into a tractor or bed of a 18 wheel truck. Many pictures within days of the earthquake contained scenes of crushed limbs peering through the rubble, or burning bodies on the street of Port Au Prince. Nevermind it was the French, U.S. , Central Banks and others that were keeping Haiti from being developed and prepared for an event like this.
Can you believe we have been at war for almost 9 years and still not seen the kinds of pictures from Iraq or Afghanistan that we have seen from Haiti. Where has the media been? What soldier was killed today, how, where, why? What did the soldier do for a living before being deployed? Will the soldiers remains be sent to the States, is there multiple pieces of the body, or is there even anything left of what used to be a son or daughter? Do the parents care?
What of the Afghan and Iraqi people, and Pakistan, Palestine? What do we know of the horrors in those lands committed by many including our own brothers and sisters? If you look through the internet you can find some bloody war pictures, but you will not find that material on the hourly CNN reports.
