January 15, 2012

Truth Be Told Comics  Jan 15, 2012

The Big Lie has been awarded a 6th place standing in the most controversial comic books of 2011!

The 11th Annual Rumour Awards, presented by Bleeding Cool, has named The Big Lie as the only title from Image Comics to make the list for most controversial comics of 2011.

Veteran artist and writer Rick Veitch teamed up with other veterans of the industry; Thomas Yeates for the cover and editing; Gary Erskine for inks; Dominic Regan on colors and Annie Parkhouse lettering to create The Big Lie. Brian Romanoff, new to the comic book industry, assisted in editing and fact-checking. Produced by Truth be Told Comics and published by Image Comics, The Big Lie was released on September 7th, 2011 – days before the 10th anniversary of the attacks.

Among the 12 comics awarded a placing, The Big Lie is notable due to its story content that brings readers back to the day of September 11th, 2001.

Essentially recapping the events of 9/11 with a dramatic fictional approach of time travel, The Big Lie covers facts like; foreknowledge of the attacks; interesting business relations to the Saudi Royal Family; missing air defense; FBI agents trying to warn their superiors; and WTC 7 among other amazing details.

A 9/11 Victim Is Identified by DNA in 2011

August 24, 2011

Nor Cal Truth    Aug. 24, 2011

Over 70 body parts from 9/11 victims were found in 2010.

Could it be that more remains in 2011 have been found?  The NY Medical Examiner does not make it 100% clear if these were body fragments from previous fragment recoveries in 2010 or 2006, or if perhaps more fragments have been found in 2011. Here is the latest from CBS New York:

Forensic technicians have identified another set of human remains found in the rubble of the World Trade Center, nearly a decade after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The office of New York City’s medical examiner announced Tuesday that it had successfully matched a set of remains to 40-year-old Ernest James, who had been assumed dead in the Twin Towers’ collapse.

James was identified within the last few days through DNA testing, a spokeswoman said. He worked for the professional services firm Marsh & McLennan Companies, which lost more than 350 employees and consultants that day.

Censored 2011 includes a full analysis of the patterns of State Crimes Against Democracy (SCADs) by the US Government including: assassinations, Gulf of Tonkin, Watergate Break in, Iran-contra, election fraud and more.

Censored 2011 has an in depth review of the collapse of Building Seven on September 11, 2001, and the reasons over 1,400 architects and engineers believe that the collapse of Building Seven in the World Trade Center complex was due to demolitions.

Breaking: March 19, 2011 Obama Attacks Libya Exactly 8 Years to the Day After Bush Invaded Iraq

March 19, 2011

Nor Cal Truth    Mar 19, 2011

This is via CNN:

I can hardly contain my frustration right now reading the breaking headline:

The U.S. military has launched a missile attack against Libya’s air defenses.

A senior U.S. military official says the strike was aimed at sites along the Libyan coast. The missiles were launched from U.S. Navy vessels in the Mediterranean.

Another article from the AP states this:

The Pentagon said it fired 110 cruise missiles at 20 targets.

8 years ago today, Bush announced the expansion of the mis-directed war of terror:

This should be seens as quite a slap in the face to all of those who voted for Obama in hopes of stopping or slowing the war expansion; many of those people are marching in the streets today.

I sure do HOPE that people have taken the Obama stickers of their cars by now.

PATRIOT Act Update

February 14, 2011

You can still call your Senators and take action!

Nor Cal Truth   Feb 14, 2011

RAW Story reports:

The US House of Representatives voted Monday to extend controversial provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act.

The bill, known as HR 514, will now head to the Senate, which already has three bills of its own pending.

Rep. Nadler (who helped author and pass the James Zadroga 9/11 Health Bill) voiced opposition to the Bill:

“I cannot support this extension when the House has done nothing to consider these provisions, or possible reforms, or even to hold a hearing or a markup,” Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) said on the House floor Monday. “While in the past, Members have had the opportunity to receive classified briefings, we have dozens of new Members who have received no such briefings.”

He is not alone. Congressman Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich and many others are against this heinous violation of civil rights in America.   Read the rest of this entry »

Plan to Move Guantánamo Detainees Faces New Delay

December 24, 2009

source: NY Times

As a WASHINGTON — Rebuffed this month by skeptical lawmakers when it sought finances to buy a prison in rural Illinois, the Obama administration is struggling to come up with the money to replace the Guantánamo Bay prison.result, officials now believe that they are unlikely to close the prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, and transfer its population of terrorism suspects until 2011 at the earliest — a far slower timeline for achieving one of President Obama’s signature national security policies than they had previously hinted.

While Mr. Obama has acknowledged that he would miss the Jan. 22 deadline for closing the prison that he set shortly after taking office, the administration appeared to take a major step forward last week when he directed subordinates to move “as expeditiously as possible” to acquire the Thomson Correctional Center, a nearly vacant maximum-security Illinois prison, and to retrofit it to receive Guantánamo detainees.
