London, England (CNN) – There are “compelling reasons” to believe the Israeli government was responsible for forging British passports used in a plot to kill a Hamas leader in the United Arab Emirates earlier this year, British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said Tuesday.
“Such misuse of British passports is intolerable,” Miliband said, adding that the fact that Israel was an ally of the United Kingdom “only adds insult to injury.”
The passports were “copied from genuine British passports” in a “highly sophisticated operation,” indicating a government was behind it, Miliband told the House of Commons.

Oh Goodness: I am not trying to stir any pots here, but I did find this to be a reasonable article. The historical reference to the U.S.S. Liberty, and it being attacked by Israel while blamed on Egypt, is key. If you make it through the first group of paragraphs you will kn0w what I mean ….

They say when you are in the military, that you are expendable; flat out government property. For Uncle Sam’s sake you will do what you’re told and if that includes dying, well… then you have to die.
This flies for many patriots and maybe it should, but not if you come to learn that you aren’t even fighting your own war. What? That’s right, the war in Iraq, starting with the destruction of the World Trade Towers, the inexplicable collapse of Tower Seven, the Pentagon and Shanksville incident, have Israel’s not so well hidden signature scrawled all over them[1].
This kind of thing has been going on for some time, and at one point it almost launched a Third World War.

KUALA LUMPUR: There is strong evidence that the Sept 11 attacks on the United States that killed nearly 3,000 could have been ‘staged’ as an excuse to mount attacks on the Muslim world, said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
‘I am not sure now that Muslim terrorists carried out these attacks. There is evidence that the attacks were staged.
‘If they can make Avatar, they can make anything,’ the former prime minister told a press conference here yesterday after delivering his speech at the General Conference for the Support of Al-Quds to aid the Palestinians.
He said killing innocent people to provide an excuse for war was not new to the US.

I think it’s safe to say that the same is happening in Afhganistan and Iraq, along with many other places in the world….
During a visit to Ramallah a year ago while the Israeli bombardment of Gaza was underway, I shared my fears with a close Palestinian friend. “It may sound insane, but I think the Israelis’ real objective is to see them all dead.”
My friend told me not to be silly, the assault was horrific, but it was not mass killing. I said that wasn’t the issue: This was a population already very vulnerable to disease, ill-health, and malnutrition after years of siege, with its infrastructure rotted, its water and food contaminated. Israel’s war would surely push the people over the brink, especially if the siege was maintained — as it has been.
In other words, Israel would not directly kill tens of thousands of Palestinians, but it would create the conditions for tens of thousands to die. Any epidemic could finish the job. My friend fell silent at these words, but still shook his head in disbelief.
Two things have changed since last year: More people have started to apply the term “genocide” to what Israel is doing to Gaza. And not only is Israel being directly accused but also, increasingly, Egypt.
Is it genocide? “The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide” — a clear, concise document adopted by the United Nations in December 1948 — states that genocide is any of five acts committed “with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group.”

Palestinian security agents who have been detaining and allegedly torturing supporters of the Islamist organisation Hamas in the West Bank have been working closely with the CIA, the Guardian has learned.
Less than a year after Barack Obama signed an executive order that prohibited torture and provided for the lawful interrogation of detainees in US custody, evidence is emerging the CIA is co-operating with security agents whose continuing use of torture has been widely documented by human rights groups.
