Dwain Deets, a physicist and engineer, as well as the former Director of NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center’s Aerospace Project, is also, the recipient of the NASA Exceptional Service Award and the Presidential Meritorious Rank Award in the Senior Executive Service (1988). He is a selected presenter of the Wright Brothers Lectureship in Aeronautics, and has been sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) for a distinguished speaking engagement (1986). Notably, he was included in “Who’s Who in Science and Engineering” 1993 – 2010. Deets is also the former Chairman of the Aerospace Control and Guidance Systems Committee of the Society of Automotive Engineers and a former member of AIAA Committee on Society and Aerospace Technology with a 37 year NASA career.
